New York Just Got HARDer

Thursday at 3:40PM on February 17, 2011

When it comes to a city’s reputation, New York probably won’t win the prize for being soft, slow, and gentle.  On the contrary, the bustling Big Apple has the opposite personality of a cushy cashmere sweater—hard, edgy and infinitely more exciting.  So while coddling ways and laid back skillet breakfasts are not the norm, fast and fun times bursting with energy are.  For those thrill seekers on the look out for activity, who love the crush of crowds and the hustle and bustle of life, and who board the L train like a seasoned athlete of some contact sport, this is no doubt a city akin to paradise.  No wonder then it is home to like-minded events that take this nonstop, cutting edge philosophy to heart—events like HARD Weekend.

Tearing through Terminal 5 via The Bowery Presents this March 19th in a frenzy, HARD Weekend New York lands on the east coast with Simian Mobile Disco, Skream & Benga, Fake Blood, Destructo, along with a number of yet to be announced guests to feed the party hungry masses with mammoth portions of delicious bass and pounding beats.  The March 18th show is completely sold out as it is and soon the slots for the 19th will likely follow. Wondering which of the heaps of parties to go to this St. Patrick’s Day weekend?  Skip the sweet tea sipping and slink on over to Terminal 5.  The only HARD thing about this is the partying, not the decision making.
