Fresh As An Electric Daisy

Tuesday at 12:54PM on April 13, 2010

It’s not often an event needs no introduction because it’s sheer awesomeness has managed to secure a steady hold on fickle popularity’s heart. Ticket sales skyrocketing out of control when mere crumbs of information have been released about the event—practically unheard of.  But such is the pull of the unassuming little flower known as the daisy.  That is, the Electric Daisy Carnival 2010.  The fantasmic, colossal orgy of music, madness and humanity commingling into one of the most phenomenal celebrations of electronic dance music in the entire U.S.

Always prepared to outdo themselves, Insomniac tapped the talents of Kaskade to mix a speaker-attacking EDC record.  Available on iTunes, Electric Daisy Carnival, Vol. 1 features tracks from the big guns: Armin, Tiesto, Moby, Benny Benassi... this list goes on and on.  Enjoy Deadmau5?  Like a little Roger Sanchez in the wee early morning?  Dirty SouthVol. 1 is sure to be the soundrack to your adventure and will store your memories cleanly on your iPod.

Legions of EDM fanatics can be heard hailing the daisy as it returns June 25th and 26th to Exposition Park, promising to blow the summer of 2010 into new dimensions of unchartered radness.  Trust Insomniac to get the crowds going.  With only Moby, Armin van Buuren, DeadMau5, Groove Armada and MSTERKRFT announced so far, tickets sales have been soaring with unanticipated speed already.  More information to be released soon but early ticket sales are highly, highly encouraged if the current briskness is to be trusted.  Check back for updates but in the meantime, get your mitts on some tickets before they’re all gone!
