In what has now been a term immortalized in song and in modern history, the Summer of Love is practically synonymous with the concepts of explosive youth culture, freedom and unfettered hedonism smacking of counterculture and a certain sense of irreverent and devil-may-care elitism.  The year 2007 marked the 40th anniversary of the very first summer that witnessed this momentous tipping point of unbridled creativity while about twenty years previous, Britain had a resurrection of such a summer of its own.  But something this good is meant to live on and now, in 2009, Midnite Events and Sutter Ballroom (a.k.a. The Grand Ballroom of The Regency Center---now isn’t that fancy!) of San Francisco are partnering up to bring you Summer Love on July 25th.

Good vibes, passionate youth, and one wild party with music to rave over are without question, to be expected and anticipated.  And reigning over the experience is none other than international DJ-darling Lange (real name Stuart Langelaan) of UK.  With a whopping 20 Top 40 UK hits in the UK Singles Chart under his belt, Lange isn’t one to sit on his laurels and twiddle his thumbs.  Behind a score of trance anthems, he is both a top-ranking DJ and producer of no little success, who has made appearances in the best clubs around the globe.  Joining him will be Italy’s very own DJ superstar Congorock as well as Dyloot, Bjorn Niclas, G.A.M.M.A., Cyber Joe, Elucidate, Jeff Thompson, Richie Panic, Sleazemore, DJ Denise, Ross.FM, Hil Huerta, and Chris Hope.

So toddle off to pick some flowers for your hair but don’t forget to get your tickets in the meantime.  Can’t you just smell that love in the air?
