Michael Patrick Flanagan Smith

THE GOOD HAND is Michael Patrick F. Smith. Smith's book THE GOOD HAND (A Memoir of Work, Brotherhood, and Transformation in an American Boomtown), which details his transition from New York City musician to North Dakota oil field hand, is available now in paperback from Penguin Books.The LA Times wrote it "is a rambling honky-tonk of a book, with the soul of a songwriter and the ache of a poor white boy who grew up rough." Music written and recorded for the audiobook is available on streaming services as of April 1st as the DAKOTA album. Smith will be joined by J. Tom Hnatow (Vandaveer, Horse Feathers).
