Sunday Gospel Brunch with Kitty Bob Aimes and Norma Jean Goldenstein is the longest running show in Oklahoma’s history and has often been described as ‘an Oklahoma institution’. As a comedy duo, Brett Young as Kitty and Jeffrey Meek as Norma have worked together for twenty years and have built a show that takes its audience to a hilarious irreverent church service / Gospel radio performance, featuring games, skits, sing-alongs, communion with spirits (the liquid kind), special music, and a children’s sermon including puppets. Several elements of the show bring back fond, if conflicted memories of Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, or old church services. It’s a homage to Church and Childhood in Oklahoma, but these two ‘old church ladies’ can’t keep from getting a little drunk and disorderly.
