Cloud Mtn Arts presents a vaccinated only program sponsored by Grand Canyon Trust, The Sierra Club, and Wild AZ:

In light of past and present conflicts between the City of Flagstaff and neighboring Indigenous communities, Cloud Mtn Arts presents Rumble on the Mountain 7, “Welcome to Flagstaff”. The show will feature speakers and performers from the Hopi Nation, including Hopi Chairman Tim Nuvangyaoma, former Hopi Chairman Vernon Masayesva, The Antelope Track Dance Group, World Champion Hoop Dancer Derrick Davis, recording artist Ryon Polequaptewa, and Ed Kabotie & Tha ‘Yoties. The purpose of the event is to address three areas of concern: Flagstaff’s position on Indigenous water rights regarding the Little Colorado River, the disparate number of Indigenous incarcerations in the city, and current and future development on the sacred San Francisco Peaks.

Event organizer Ed Kabotie explains, “Flagstaff is situated in the heart of a sacred landscape and is surrounded by many Indigenous communities. My hope is that Rumble on the Mountain 7, will help us realize the potential of Flagstaff to be an example of consciousness and understanding to the world.”
