Rebecca Hart once accidentally won a comedy competition in Dublin, Ireland, while appearing as the musical guest (true story). Her “impressively well-textured voice” (Time Out) has also been compared to Cat Power and Grace Slick, and her “infectious stage presence and unique audience rapport” reflects her ‘other life’ in theatre and is a hallmark of her shows. She fronts the 5-piece eclectic folkrock experiment Rebecca Hart & the Wrong Band, with instrumentation ranging from synthesizer and trumpet to fiddle and upright bass; recent gigs include the Cutting Room, the Irish Arts Center NY, the Kripalu Yoga Center in the Berkshires, and of course, regular Rockwood shows. Her moody, wintry 2018 album “The Magician’s Daughter” was produced by Ben Sollee in Louisville KY and by Ben Arons in NYC. Join her for this intimate wintertime concert of new and traditional songs and stories featuring members of the band and new friends.
