Hearing her classicvoice for the first time, you can tell she has paved her own way; through thevelvety hints of Motown and the bold romance of early jazz, the music of HayleySales breathes new life into the vintage sounds of the classic pop. An artist throughand through, she has had to take the long way; carefully crafting her songs tomatch the unabashed honesty of a born performer. When she sings, the audienceis transported into a timeless romance, emboldened by lessons in overcomingadversity. As a teenager, Sales signed with UMG and went on toreleased two self-penned, self-produced records that hit the Top 40 charts inCanada, Japan and Australia. During this time, Salestoured internationally with Jason Mraz, INXS, Feist, The Spice Girls,Donavon Frankenreiter and many more. In 2016, her career came to adramatic pause. The label experienced a staff turnover, and as a result herthird record was shelved. She was prohibited from buying it back. Nevertheless,the setbacks only made her more determined. In Spring 2021, Sharon Stone andSales released their first co-write, NEVER BEFORE, the first single from Sales’highly anticipated, double record, ‘Ricochet” (2022). The single went on tograb the attention of Billboard and Rolling Stone along with otherhighly acclaimed press outlets. Billboard heralded the tune as “a trackthat fits squarely into the Great American Songbook-lane thanks tostraightforward lyrics and a heart-swooning melody that achieved their goal oftelling an elegant, no-fuss love story. (Billboard 2021). The successof this single led to an opportunity to join Rufus Wainwright on his UK andEuropean Tour 2021-2022. Parallel to hermusic career, Sales stars alongside Bruce Willis and Michael Rooker in theTUBI/ Fox feature film, "Corrective Measures," which premieredApril 29. In May of this years, Sales will be releasing “The London BridgeSessions,” a live album of unreleased songs.
