Pardoner formed in 2015 at San Francisco State University and has spent the last eight years consistently gigging and sharpening their songwriting craft. Their style of angular, hooky guitar rock has been compared to Polvo and Sonic Youth, with their last LP “Came Down Different” (Barnone Records) receiving praise from Rolling Stone as being “… springy slacker-pop to amiably punishing distortion and back again”. After years of being Bay Area favorites, playing with everyone from Tony Molina, to the Umbrellas, to Andrew W.K., the members band members now reside in different parts of the country, which sadly makes local San Francisco shows harder to come by. With that in mind, Pardoner is proud to celebrate the release of their new record, Peace Loving People, by playing at San Francisco’s own Great American Music Hall.
