Event Details

We cordially invite you to take a deeper look inside an era, and in particular one summer, the summer  of 1969 that drastically shifted culture by ending the era of peace and love and altering the world’s  perception of humankind.

This story that has been told and retold countless times and has undeniably played a pivotal role in how the dream of the 60s died with a weekend of murder and mayhem in Hollywood.

Lethal Amounts Gallery is revisiting this polarizing time in Los Angeles history by presenting artifacts from the era in addition to ephemera from those intimately involved the events, including writings, photographs and original art.

No stranger to controversy, Lethal Amounts often takes the position of objective examination of both the beautiful and dark underbelly of the human condition. To quote the words of Santanaya, “Those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it”, reminding us of the importance of seeing our humanity without rose colored glasses.
