Mr. LLoyd Marks, local funk legend, made a name for himself performing Soul Music throughout Southern California. In the mold of Otis Redding, Mr. Marks resembles David Ruffin with a hint of Bobby Womack! There seems to be a global moment where Soul Music, a forgotten genre, is making a comeback and Mr. Marks is leading the way bringing the sound back to the forefront. He is teamed up with the band Hoodoo Man local funksters. This collaboration is an eclectic ensemble of Funky Sapiens with an unmistakable sound that is funky, but why stop there? Mr. Marks has called on legendary Saxophonist Trevor Lawrence who has written and performed for the Pointer Sisters, Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye just to name a few. This Incredible collaboration will come together to perform Mr. Marks debut EP “White Butterfly” on February 24th at the world Famous “The Mint in Los Angeles” A fantastic show you will not want to miss.
