Helen Money is Alison Chesley, is a classically trained cellist who draws her inspiration not only from Pablo Casals and Shostakovich but Jimi Hendrix and The Minutemen. She’s released five solo records and is a guest artist on over 100 others, including those by Bob Mould, Broken Social Scene, Anthrax, Mono and Russian Circles. She has released four solo records, and opened for bands such as Sleep, Shellac, Earth, Mono, Neurosis and Russian Circles, including a 2015 appearance on The David Letterman Show with Bob Mould. Alison’s sixth album, Trace, is a collaboration with composer/producer Will Thomas. Trace is due out this April on Thrill Jockey Records.
Sam Wagster is a Chicago-based pedal-steel guitarist who works in and across several genres: ambient, experimental, Americana, and rock. In 2016, he released "The Glossary of Surfing," a solo, ambient pedal-steel record on Sequel, followed by the hybrid studio/live record "The Astronaut's Laundry" in 2018, and "Figurative Texas" in 2020. In 2021, he released the 2 so g LP “The Sun Return.” Mute Duo, his ongoing collaboration with drummer/percussionist Skyler Rowe, released “Lapse in Passage” on American Dreams Records in 2020 and will release their follow up, “Migrant Flocks,” in the spring of 2023.
