With more than 14 million YouTube views, Bay area native Gerald Gillum more popularly known as the budding artist, G-Eazy, is taking the world of hip hop by storm. The Loyola University graduate began cultivating and crafting his musical style throughout his college years during which he produced a series of popular mixtapes. He released his 2011 breakout, “Endless Summer” mixtape featuring tracks “Runaround Sue,” which has amassed over 5 million YouTube plays and landed him a spot on the summer of 2012 Warped Tour line-up. During the tour he produced and recorded his first full-length album “Must Be Nice,” which reach No. 3 on the iTunes Hip Hop Chart.
In 2013 G-Eazy completed his first headlining tour, selling out shows in cities from coast-to-coast. Due to the success of the tour, Paste magazine named G-Eazy one of their “Top Artists to Watch” in 2013, High Times Magazine named him the “Best New Artist of 2013,” and Lil Wayne invited him to join the America’s Most Wanted Festival nationwide tour.
G-Eazy’s second headlining tour, “These Things Happen” in 2014 lead up to the release of his highly anticipated second full-length album, “These Things Happen.” The album reached the top of the Billboard Hip Hop/R&B charts and Top Rap Albums charts, earned the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 and the Top Digital Albums chart, and secured him a spot on MTV’s Artist To Watch list.
