Zoë Nutt is a Nashville-based artist hailing from East Tennessee. From her bio:
"Although I didn’t grow up knowing what I wanted to be, I was constantly drawing, writing poems, starting my day from the bed straight to the piano, always creating. I moved from Knoxville, TN to Nashville to study classical vocal performance at Belmont University. Not truly knowing where I would fit within the music world, I eventually decided to write my first songs and audition for Belmont’s songwriting major. Shortly after being accepted into the program I woke up one day with a sudden and massive hearing loss. I grew up deaf in one ear, but this new loss was now affecting my only working ear. Since that moment I have progressively been loosing my hearing and have been advised I will likely go completely deaf in the future. Losing my hearing has been a difficult path, but has never diverted me from my musical career. Although my deafness is part of my everyday life, it defines neither me nor my music."
