Dance off that turkey with Australian house music wunderkind DIRTY SOUTH on Thanksgiving night Thursday November 22, 2007 Corbin Dooley & Vinylize Management are excited to welcome chart topping remixer, DJ, and producer DIRTY SOUTH to Pearl for a special Thanksgiving night event on Thursday November 22, 2007. Pearl is located at 445 W. Wetmore Road, Tucson, Arizona. Doors open at 8pm. 21+ only. More information can be found on, or by contacting Pearl on 520.888.8084. Tucson's electro house wizard Tranceducer, and KXCI Electro Friday Nights' DJ Corbin Dooley, open the show. Over the past 3 years, DIRTY SOUTH, a/k/a Dragan Roganovic, has made an instant name for himself in the music world, impressing international DJs, producers, bloggers, media and music lovers with his uncanny ability to dish up ready-made dance-floor bombs. His remixing credits read like an honor role of dance music's finest, having reworked revered artists such as Depeche Mode, Tiesto, Mark Ronson, Roger Sanchez, Josh Wink, Chris Lake, Fedde Le Grand, and Ferry Corsten. Born in Europe before moving to Australia at age 13, and unable to afford turntables, Dragan began 'mixing' with an old cassette deck. Inspired by everyone from Led Zeppelin to the Neptunes, he rigged his home computer to begin making original beats. Dragan focused his attention on producing mash-ups and bootlegs, generating mighty dance-floor weapons that sent DJs worldwide clambering to him for promos - something that still characterizes his rampant popularity. When Dragan injected his trademark electro sound into Evermore's "It's Too Late" in 2006 (popularized by Fox's hit TV show 'The O.C.'), the entire dance music world stood up and took notice of DIRTY SOUTH. Not only did dance luminary Pete Tong reward the track as one of his coveted 'Essential New Tunes' - the first Australian dance track to receive this accolade since Madison Avenue's 'Don't Call Me Baby' in 1999 - but the gem was also licensed to over 30 compilations worldwide, as well as being picked up by Warner (UK) and Ultra (US). Recent collaborations have also seen him team up with house kingpin Carl Kennedy for the dance-floor burner "Baby, I'm Gonna Leave You," as well as British producer Paul Harris for "Better Day," earning DIRTY SOUTH another prestigious 'Essential New Tune' gong from Pete Tong. While his productions mount, DIRTY SOUTH excels in the DJing department. He has toured the world, gigging throughout Europe, the UK, the UAE, Canada and the USA, as well as playing massive festivals across Australia. With only a few short years under his belt in the international production scene, DIRTY SOUTH's potential to achieve tremendous musical heights seems limitless.
