Artists Performing

Lange (, UK)

Lange is recognised as one of the most influential dance artists of the past decade. A DJ who has remained at the forefront of the scene throughout his career and a producer that continues to push all boundaries. After an exhausting list of achievements, counting among them 20 UK top 40s, featuring on a film soundtrack, and remixing mainstream artists such as the Pet Shop Boys, Lange remains one of the leading EDM producers.

2008 saw Lange launch his Intercity radio show, growing quickly in popularity, it has already become one of the staple shows for trance fans, owing its success to its charismatic host and notoriety for showcasing the most exciting new releases in trance and related genres. The show launched as a podcast in summer 2009 alongside, the first in a continuing, and already highly acclaimed, compilation series. The show reached 2 years of broadcast in August 2010.

Lange is on yet another production jaunt with his, dirtier, edgier LNG brand. The first single, Brandalism, was a huge success and saw him tapping into the house and techno fanbase; reaffirming the direction of his artist album. The massive “Harmony Will Kick You in the Ass” followed, the title perhaps becoming one of the most frequently used phrases on the social networks and the track itself shooting into the Beatport Top 10 and Judge Jules’ Tried and Tested on Radio 1. Support came universally and it was undoubtedly one of the tunes of this year’s ASOT500 celebration. Expect a lot more from this dark corner of the Lange studio.

Alongside Lange’s exceptional and successful studio work, he is a prolific international DJ, making appearances for some of the best club brands in the world including Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Ministry Of Sound as well as performing for prestigious festivals such as such as Global Gathering, Creamfields, Sziget, Sunrise and Ballaton. His eclectic, stimulating and driving sets pull influences from across the dance music spectrum from, trance, progressive, techno and electro; he is an exciting and lively performer that keeps the crowd buzzing for more.

tyDi (Armada,, AU)

Introduced to dance music in his mid teens, it took only a few short months before tyDi had traded in his drum kit and bought his first set of turntables. By the time he was sixteen, he had won his first competition, Brisbane DJ Wars.[2]

At the age of 17, tyDi moved from his hometown of Mooloolaba Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, to the state's capital, Brisbane. There he began performing at premier nightclub The Family, who were so impressed with his skills, they made him a permanent resident in 2004.

Following his move to Brisbane, tyDi's touring schedule increased, with his music and style sparking the interest of promoters and peers alike. The young DJ was invited to play nightclubs and festivals across the country, including the famed Slinky and Godskitchen events. Throughout this time, tyDi also pursued a more traditional musical path, studying a Bachelor of Music Technology at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.[2]

In 2006, just two years after completing high school, tyDi competed in his first Sony inthemix Top 50 DJ Poll, and came in at #12. The following year, he placed at #4, before reaching the top spot for the first time in the 2008 competition.

2008 proved to be a big year for tyDi. Aside from his win in the Sony inthemix competition, he also received acclaim from fellow DJs around the world. His track 'Meet Me in Kyoto' was the first track to be signed to record label Armada and also featured on 'Amsterdam 08' by Markus Schulz. Schulz also featured tyDi's track Russia on his 'Ibiza 08' release.[3]

That same year, tyDi was involved in the Queensland Government's anti-binge drinking campaign Every Drink Counts, producing the soundtrack for a series of hard-hitting advertisements. He also created the theme track for Sunshine Coast mixed-use luxury development Emporio and was involved in the music production of several yet to be released video games. At the end of 2008, tyDi was invited by dance event giant ID&T to close Melbourne's Sensation NYE party. Following that performance in front of 42,000 fans, ID&T extended a further invitation for tyDi to play the Trance Energy festivals throughout Australia and Holland in March 2009, the latter of which saw him share the Main Stage with trance heavyweights Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk and John O'Callaghan.

tyDi released his first full length album 'Look Closer' on April 25, 2009. In May of the same year, it debuted at #2 on the AIR Dance Album Chart. In August 2009, tyDi cemented his place in Australia's dance music scene by taking out the #1 position in the Sony inthemix Top50 DJ poll for the second year in a row. tyDi has recently remixed Nadia Ali's 'Fine Print' as well as 4 Strings' 'Take Me Away'.

Nitrous Oxide (Anjunabeats, PL)

Krzysztof Pretkiewicz aka Nitrous Oxide is one of the leading figures of the Polish and European trance scene. He was Anjunabeats’ first Polish DJ and each of his releases has, without fail, receives large acclaim. He first encountered electronic music in the 90s, and became fascinated by the artistic creativity of musicians such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield and Depeche Mode, as well as film music created by the likes of Thomas Newman and Hans Zimmer. After beginning his experimentation with sound at the age of 13, Krzysztof’s passion and ability to create tunes that smash dancefloors has continually developed.

Influenced by genres such as house, minimal, speed garage and hard dance, Nitrous Oxide’s unique releases, such as his Anjunabeats debut ‘North Pole/Frozen Dreams’ have gained support from Above and Beyond, Armin – you name it. His DJing career has taken him to every corner of the world and he is no stranger to festivals and main rooms – the bigger the better for a sound as big as his.

Norin & Rad (Anjunabeats, US)

Hailed as the "Breakthrough DJs/Producers of 2011" by Above & Beyond, Bruce Karlsson and Nick Sember have hit the ground running. Better known in the EDM scene as Norin & Rad, these two Southern California boys are really showing the world their unique take on trance.

Their collaboration with Thomas Cresine aka Recurve titled "The Gift" pushed them right into the spot light. Being only the secondrelease on Tritonal's Air Up There Recordings the track came in at #2 on the Beatport trance chart. It was even played on Armin Van Buurens massive ASOT 500 show by Armin himself among others. They immediately followed with remixes for world famous record labels such as Anjunabeats, Enhanced Music and Armada. One of their follow ups, a remix for Estiva's track "Better Days" featuring Josie, was also played at Global Gathering 2011 by Above & Beyond. Coming hot in 2012 and already doing damage to the dance floors. Norin & Rad’s “Bloom” takes its debut on Trance Around The World 400 hosted by Above & Beyond themselves.

As for their DJ sets, they've rocked the stage along side the biggest names in EDM today such as Markus Schulz, Super8 & Tab, Cosmic Gate, Andy Moor, Mat Zo and the list goes on. Their first festival debut for Insomniac Events was no different. The boys really showcased their live skills as they went on for a dominating 4 hours leaving no time to rest the entire set. Theres no telling where this talent will go but we can be sure of one thing, Norin & Rad are here to stay.
