There is a distinctive first impression upon meeting Singer/Songwriter Jillian Cardarelli. The All-American sweetheart is well aware that in order to find success in this town one must be willing to blaze their own path. A Massachusetts native turn Nashville resident, Jillian has forged down that path with her stunning vocals, captivating songwriting, and strong work ethic, all while maintaining her humble personality.
Jillian was recently tapped by Rolling Stone as one of their "Top 10 Country Artists You Need to Know". Jillian has already shared the stage with some of country music’s biggest acts including Reba McEntire, Trace Adkins, Dierks Bentley, Easton Corbin, Scotty McCreery, Lee Brice, Willie Nelson, Alabama. Over the past few years, Jillian has been a regular National Anthem performer for major sports organizations including the Boston Bruins, the Boston Celtics, Baltimore Orioles, and the Nashville Predators. In addition to performing, she has found success with her other passion, songwriting having just landed her first major label cut with Australian artist Jody Direen on ABC Music.
Jillian credits her grandfather who was stationed in Georgia during World World II where he fell in love with the heartfelt words and melodies of country music, and brought that love of country back home. At a young age, Jillian fell in love with country music herself, from hearing Merle Haggard and Patsy Cline playing from her grandfather’s living room stereo.
George Strait, Lee Ann Rimes, Faith Hill and Shania Twain are some of her inspirations, her biggest inspirations is the King himself, Elvis Presley. Jillian explains: “I remember watching a DVD of his Aloha in Hawaii concert with my dad when I was little, and I remember just being captivated by his voice, charisma and stage presence. “
No stranger to the stage, Jillian’s first solo performance took place at her church and the young age of four, Jillian knew from that moment on what her lifelong goal would be.
“On Stage is where I feel the most comfortable and most at home,” says Cardarelli.
She is currently hard at work on her debut project, expected out this summer, which is certain to resonate with a wide variety of music lovers.
She explains: “Listeners can expect something for everyone with the upcoming release. This EP will have a songs to fall in love to, mend a broken heart to, reminisce to, and dance to.”
“My goal is to write and sing songs that touch people. Music is a universal language with which we can all connect, and that to me is a beautiful thing. Songwriting is all about being vulnerable and honest, which at times can be scary but I believe the best songs are ones that come from a real place or experience.”
Fans got a taste of her sound with the release of her debut single, “Re-Run,” this past summer. Written by Grammy winning artist Maren Morris, Tina Parol and Jordan Reynolds, Jillian knew she had to cut it the moment she heard it. She explains: “A friend of mine in the industry actually emailed me the demo of this song and after hearing it I was like ‘I need to have this song’. The song is about reminiscing about an old lost love - I think its a song everyone can connect to because I truly believe that we all tend to romanticize past relationships - only remembering the highlight reel.”
In addition to promoting her debut single “Re-Run” and upcoming EP, you can see her on this road this summer on select dates with Lonestar and others.
