- Arsene DeLay, Charlie Wooten, & Friends - 10:30
Arsene DeLay (formerly “Lady Creole” of Vaud and the Villains) is a New Orleans-based performer, songwriter, bandleader, guitarist, and vocal powerhouse, known for her ability to navigate a diverse musical genres, from jazz, R&B, blues, rock and roll, to funk and folk. She released her critically acclaimed debut album, “Comin’ Home” in 2014, which
was award nominated, and featured on NCIS: New Orleans. In 2019 she teamed up with Charlie Wooton and released “Blue Basso,”providing lyrics and vocals with musical heavyweights Doug Wimbish(Living Colour), Eric McFadden(Parliament), Anders Osborne,& Sonny Landreth.
Bassist, producer, & songwriter Charlie Wooton (Royal Southern Brotherhood, Bonerama, New Orleans Suspects) is Louisiana born and bred, and according to Mad Professor Amplification, is one of the “grooviest bass players on the planet.” While most bass plates are part of a rhythm section that are merely asked to hold down a beat, Charlie brings the foundation of a rhythm section to the forefront, then builds on it. His previous project “Blue Basso” is a non-traditional
blues record that pays homage to his legendary blue bass, (gifted to him by Kim Stone of Spyro Gyra) and carries the spirit of one of his heroes, Jaco Pastorius.
