Cracker

Cracker has been described as a lot of things over the years: alt-rock, Americana, insurgent-country, and have even had the terms punk and classic-rock thrown at them. But more than anything Cracker are survivors. Cofounders Lowery and Hickman have been at it for almost a quarter of a century – amassing ten studio albums, multiple gold records, thousands of live performances, hit songs that are still in current radio rotation around the globe (“Low,” “Euro-Trash Girl,” “Get Off This” and “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out With Me” to name just a few), and a worldwide fan base – that despite the major sea-changes within the music industry – continues to grow each year.

Marcy Playground

90’s alternative rockers Marcy Playground celebrated their 20 year veterancy in the music industry in 2017. That year marked the anniversary of their 1997 self-titled debut album, which included the hit single “Sex and Candy”. In celebration of the anniversary, Slow Down Sounds released the album on vinyl for the first time ever. The album went platinum back in 1997, selling 1.4 million copies, while the radio classic “Sex and Candy” spent a then record 15 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart. In the interim years Marcy Playground released four posterior albums “Shapeshifter” (1999), “Marcy Playground 3” (MP3) (2004), “Leaving Wonderland… In A Fit of Rage” (2009),  and “Lunch, Recess, and Detention” (2012). The albums demonstrated tremendous periods of creative growth for the group and are recognized as “cult classics” among the band’s dedicated fans. The band has also enjoyed notice by the big screen. Their songs are featured on soundtracks such as Cruel Intentions, Antitrust, Simply Irresistible, Hurricane Streets, as well as many films by writer/director Kevin Smith (Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, Zack and Miri Make a Porno).Marcy Playground has recently toured with Everclear, Fuel, Dishwalla, Local H and more. The band finished their most recent tour in the Fall of 2018. Marcy Playground is looking forward to getting back out on the road in 2019.

Ike Reilly

Since his explosive major label debut, Salesmen and Racists, Reilly has been creating rebellious punk/folk/country/blues-influenced rock ’n’ roll records that are poetic and cinematic.  Critical praise for his work has been plentiful, and he has garnered a wildly loyal fan base -- from faithful fans in the dirty bars and rock clubs in the middle of nowhere to legendary authors. Reilly’s songs have a unique universality that affects people.  Author Stephen King wrote that Reilly’s travel band saga, “Boltcutter,” was “the best new song to come out of the Trump era.” The New York Times called Reilly’s longtime band, The Assassination, one of the best live bands in America, and once again they show their dexterity and growth on Reilly’s new offering, Because the Angels.

EGxBH

Forming back in 2017, EGxBH, more formally known as Eugeine Grey and The Bad Habits, have taken charge of their own unique dark, rolling melodies and blood pumping rock sound to new levels of evolution, blossoming into a raw and wonderfully unpolished sound skin to that of All Them Witches, Highly Suspect, Local H, Clutch. Queens of the Stone Age, and the legendary Fugazi  . A talented four piece of Patrick Goray (Guitar/Vox), Mike Arturi (Percussion), Brad Haptas (Bass), and Shaun Meek (Lead Guitar), the band took to the local Chicago scene like a house on fire, pushing their sound to the limit with an illustrative, mesmerizing, captivating example of hard-hitting, rock-n-roll unstoppable force that the world so desperately needs today.
