In Aug. 2014, We Own The Laughs began as a monthly comedy showcase in Bakersfield, CA. Since late 2018, WOTL has expanded throughout the West Coast, including regular appearances at legendary comedy clubs/venues, including Cobb’s Comedy Club, Punch Line Sacramento, The HaHa Comedy Club, Ice House Comedy Club, Ontario Improv, Mic Drop Comedy Club, and Laughs Unlimited. Growing into one of the premier comedy entertainment brands in the country, We Own The Laughs has featured performances by notable comedians Kel Mitchell, Leslie Liao, Kabir Singh, Jenn Sterger, London Brown, Tahir Moore, Kim Congdon, Matt Rife, Jeremiah Watkins, Brian Hooks, JR De Guzman, Terrence DeLane, Natalie Friedman, Francisco Ramos, Adam Hunter, Esther Ku, & Byron Bowers.

Danny Killea

With a warm smile and a face you can trust, Danny Killea has been doing stand-up for almost a decade. He’s had the pleasure of working across the country with greats like Robert Kelly, Shane Torres, and Tig Notaro. Now based in Boston, Massachusetts, Danny doesn’t shy away from bringing family experiences or embarrassing moments to the stage, mixed with some of the other things he’s discovering about life.

Liam McGurk

Liam McGurk is a Massachusetts-bred comic based in Boston. He is well known throughout New England for his laid-back demeanor and cerebral, creative material. Danny Devito being typecast? Workplace heroism? Teaching your son how to become an impressive, respected beefcake of a man? Liam covers all these subjects and more. No issue is too personal or absurd for his brain’s faulty — or is it faultless? — wiring. Liam produces the weekly show 8 O’Clock at 7:30 and has performed in Thunderfest and Cape Fear Comedy Festival, and Rogue Island Comedy Festival. He won Massachusetts Funniest Comedian at Laugh Boston. He was the Comic In Residence in 2018 at The Comedy Studio in Somerville, MA. He is also a favorite of local showcases like The Gas! and The Mendoza Line.

Jaylene Tran

One of the top comedy acts throughout the East Coast, Jaylene Tran uses her unique but loveable personality to provide iconic laughter to comedy fans every time she performs on stage. Jaylene is the first and only Vietnamese stand-up comedian in New England, quickly emerging as one of the best performers in her class. Tran has shined brighter than many stars in the night sky as a hilarious participant in the Boston Comedy Festival, Rogue Island Comedy Festival, and New England’s Funniest. When she’s not becoming one of the fastest-rising female comedians in the country, Tran is an entertaining matchmaker as host of her crowd-interactive comedy dating show It’s A Date. Whether you are looking for creative ways to find a date or you want to give your significant other a night of laughter that they’ll never forget….all answers and chuckles revolve around Jaylene Tran.

Tyson Paul

A veteran comedian based in Central California who has spent most of his adult years in the comedy business, the We Own The Laughs founder has performed in various comedy clubs all over the U.S., including The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Punchline Sacramento, The Well Comedy Club, Mic Drop Comedy Club, and Cobbs Comedy Club. One of the most natural performers you’ll ever see, Paul effortlessly leaves crowds in tears with his hilarious, thought-provoking theories on family, love, being a twin, current events, and much more. A career currently spanning over two decades, Tyson has been fortunate enough to share the stage with some of comedy’s biggest stars, including Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, and Aries Spears.

Janelle Draper

A bi-coastal comedian/actress/writer/producer, Janelle Draper has been described as unapologetic, uncensored, and unladylike. Her comedy journey began in Los Angeles as an NBC employee working on the biggest late-night TV show of all time, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Draper was named Winner of the Los Angeles-based Burbank Comedy Festival, runner-up at the Boston Comedy Festival, and selected to perform in the “Kenan Thompson Presents” comedy series. She performs nationwide as the opening and featuring performer for many national headliners, including Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Jeffrey Ross, Mark Normand, Jay Mohr, and Brad Williams. Janelle is also a regular commentator on SiriusXM Raw Dog Comedy and has headlined the iconic Wilbur Theater in Boston, MA, on multiple occasions. She’s been a featured act on many prestigious comedy festivals, including The San Francisco Sketchfest, HBO's Women in Comedy, Laughing Skull, and World Series of Comedy. Lastly, she's the first and only comedian to sign an overall licensing deal with Bumble, where she wrote, created, performed, and filmed several image spots, which launched across their social media platforms to great success. Receiving rave reviews from her performance on OnlyFans newest stand-up comedy series, “LMAOF”, Draper wants her fans to know that she does have a Boston accent, but it only presents itself when she’s drinking Chaaah-dawn-nay.
