There is no band that sounds quite like LESPECIAL. Elements of their favorite bands NIN, Radiohead, and Primus permeate their rich musical stew through the use of electronic sampling, production, and synthesis added to their fierce guitar/bass/drum skeleton. High energy and musically diverse live shows leave fans hungry for more of that special sound. They’re the band with the heavy edge that festival goers were unaware they’d been subconsciously craving.  They scratch the 2000s numetal itch as well as the modern thirst for the hardest “drop” imaginable. With shameless use of guitar (and bass) distortion, unison riffs, double kicks, and 808s, lespecial has been leveling dance floors across the country for just shy of two decades. They unabashedly pummel the audience and refuse to water it down or make things easy, while simultaneously proving themselves masters of leaving space and air in their song craft. With Berklee training and studying with masters like Milford Graves and Billy Martin, the jazz and instrumental influences are apparent right alongside their shameless affinity for djent and prog. It’s these reasons sonic pioneer Ott calls them “the best band I’ve ever seen in my life”.
