In the Fall of 2021, Percy Hill's Aaron Z. Katz, Tom Powley, and Jon Hawes created The Ammonium Maze. The band was born from a place of love and respect for the music and fan base of Percy Hill. The three of them are committed to assembling a passionate group of musicians together in order to honor the legacy of Percy Hill as well as evolve and advance the sound. The current lineup includes lead guitarist Dave Brunyak (Pink Talking Fish), vocalist Sarah Blacker, vocalist Danielle Lovasco, and keyboardist Chris Sink.

Supraluke (aka Luke Smith, drummer of Strangefolk) will be opening for @theammoniummaze: A Percy Hill Production on Saturday, Nov 19! He'll be performing songs from his debut album “Songs for the Great Blue Heron.”

Supraluke, also known as Luke Smith, is best known as the drummer of legendary Vermont jamband Strangefolk. While the band is currently on hiatus after decades of relentless touring and recording, Smith is still as musically active as ever. In recent years, he challenged himself to step out from behind the drum kit and learn guitar, a process that was accelerated during the Covid pandemic. Smith cataloged his personal progression, becoming increasingly confident in his newfound six-string and songwriting skills, and in his ability to carry a tune as lead vocalist. Whirling transitions woven between songs take the listener on an adventure through foreign lands and seas on the wings of the Great Blue Heron.

SUPRALUKE co-produced and engineered the album with Ben Collette, best known for his engineering work for Phish, at Tank Studios in Burlington, Vermont. The album also features an illustrious list of musical guests including Jon Trafton (Strangefolk), Erik Glockler (Strangefolk), Richard James (Neighbor, Pink Talking Fish), and piano phenom Kevin Gift (Wendel Patrick).
