After every comedy show, at every club in America someone inevitably corners the comedians and asks, "Wait, was that true?" or "Why didn't you say (X)?" This phenomenon makes two things abundantly clear: 1) fans want to know more about what comedians are thinking and 2) fans ask terrible, boring questions. Well, Drew Morgan does not. Years of being a trial lawyer and stand up comedian have trained him to ask pointed questions with hilarious results. After watching his friends do their best jokes, Drew will continue the conversation interview style, creating a half stand-up half podcast style show that is both scripted and spontaneous.

Taking over venues around the City including Town Hall, Carolines on Broadway, the Beacon Theatre and Madison Square Garden, the New York Comedy Festival celebrates comedy in all its forms: live podcast recordings, panels, improv, film screenings and stand-up, hosted and performed by some of the biggest names in the industry. Headliners for this year’s event include Tracy Morgan, Jenny Slate, Wanda Sykes, JB Smoove, John Mulaney, Bill Maher and Conan O’Brien. Additionally, 200-plus comedians will be performing more than 100 shows throughout the City during the seven-day festival.
